It is a process of transforming data into meaningful actions through analysis and insights in the context of organizational decision making and problem solving. Quantitative methodologies explored and applied via practical problem sets include statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modeling, and simulation. Students analyze and differentiate the characteristics of various asset classes including equites, fixed income securities, derivatives and various other alternative investments using MS-Excel. An investment research project and participation in ongoing current discussions are expected in the course.
