FIN 623 BUSINESS VALUATION

In a collegial learning environment, students will learn valuation methods used by investment bankers, private equity firms, and valuation. Students will learn and apply the basic valuation approaches necessary to complete a valuation analysis and report.  Upon completion of this course, students will have the necessary tools to determine the value of a business using the discounted cash flow (DCF), precedent transactions, comparable public companies, and asset-based approaches. This course provides students with a wide variety of real-world value-related tools necessary to apply valuation analysis in the real world.
