ACC 734 SEMINAR IN EMPIRICAL ACCOUNTING RESEARCH

This seminar offers an intensive examination of empirical research methodologies and techniques applied in the field of accounting. Students will engage in critical analysis of contemporary empirical accounting literature, focusing on research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation of findings. Through seminar discussions, presentations, and independent research projects, students will gain hands-on experience in conducting empirical research in accounting, exploring topics such as financial reporting quality, earnings management, corporate governance, audit effectiveness, and capital market behavior.
